Another great adventure from Rick Riordan

The Red Pyramid is a great read for 10yr olds to 14yr olds and anyone who really likes adventure and Egypt would love this book too.

Sadie and Carter Kane are the two narrators of this story and you get both their points of view (with a few interruptions from each other!).  They tell the story really well – like they were the main characters, (which they are) and they say that it all started with their dad blowing up the Rosetta Stone in the British Museum.  They are now on the run…

Read The Red Pyramid to find if that is true or not, and what happens next…

I really like The Red Pyramid and I can’t wait to read more of The Kane Chronicles. Rick Riordan has made myths and legends cool. I’ve heard lots of kids say that they didn’t like The Red Pyramid as much as the Percy Jackson books. What do you think Rhys?

      Hey Zac

I reckon The Red Pyramid wasn’t as good as the Percy Jackson series but I think The Red Pyramid is a bit more complex then The Percy Jackson series and I think that’s why some people say it isn’t as good.

      Thanks Rhys

Thanks Rhys :-) Are you looking forward to the new series that follows on from the Percy Jackson books, called Heroes of Olympus? We’ve got the first book in the series (The Lost Hero) on order so it will be in the library soon.

Wow, exciting! We’ll have to put that video on the blog. It would be pretty cool to be part of the Rick Riordan webcast too.
