About
The Christchurch Kids blog is by, for, and about children living in New Zealand – especially 8 to 12 year olds living in Christchurch and Canterbury.
You’ll find heaps of information on all sorts of things, from music and movies to friends and school, books and reading. We’d love you to share your ideas too.
You can let us know what you think too. Just click on ‘Leave a comment’ or ‘Comments’ at the bottom of each post, enter your name and your comment, then submit it. It’s a great way to interact with other children and some great authors.
If you are interested in blogging, please send us an email at christchurchkidsblog@ccc.govt.nz

Howdy, guys and gals! I am Caroline Lawrence, author of the Roman Mysteries. I have now “gone West” and am writing the Western Mysteries. The first book, The Case of the Deadly Desperados, is about scalpings, saloons, stagecoaches, six-shooters & a 12 year old detective, P.K. Pinkerton. I hope you like it!

I have recently published a children’s picture book called “Fantail’s Quilt.” I would love to have it in your library.
I will be in Christchurch March next year working with schools implementing our Discovery Time programme and thought it would be an opportunity to do something at your library.
Check out our web page and recent reviews of our book.
I look forward to hearing from you.
