Whenever you read a book you get taken to another place and you build a picture in your head of what that place looks like. The place that you go to and how it looks depends on how the author describes it. It could look like the place where you live or it could be some extraordinary world with magical creatures, rivers of chocolate, icy wastelands, or thick jungles. There are so many wonderful worlds that authors have created!
- C.S. Lewis created the land of Narnia filled with fawns, talking beavers, a majestic lion and a White Witch.
- J.K Rowling created the magical world of Harry Potter with Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.
- Emily Rodda created the seven gem territories of Deltora and the kingdom of Rondo.
If you could visit any fantasy world, which one would you choose?
